Veteran Delaware catcher Luke Lambert brings experience, grit, and steady behind-the-plate value
In the 2026 season, Luke Lambert is a senior catcher for Delaware with a résumé built on power-conference and junior-college experience, plus a track record of leadership dating back to his first-team all-conference high school years. Delaware’s roster lists him at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, and his real differentiator is polish: a seasoned backstop who should help with game management, toughness, and clubhouse edge more than flashy stat-sheet noise. He’s the kind of player coaches trust because he has seen a lot, works hard, and fits a team that values baseball IQ and reliability.
