UTEP’s sturdy, disruptive interior anchor with room to climb
In the 2025 season, Ashton Coker delivered 25 tackles with 4 tackles for loss for UTEP, backing up a profile that started with 2024 freshman production and a strong high-school résumé as a 3-star, all-district defender. At 6-foot-2, 290 pounds, he brings compact power, interior leverage, and steady run-stopping traits that fit a physical defensive front. The appeal: he looks like a dependable DT who can hold his gap, eat blocks, and flash disruption without needing splashy numbers to matter.
