Carsen Melvin brings size, dual-threat juice, and untapped upside to Bowling Green
In the 2024 high school season, Carsen Melvin threw for 1,950 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 353 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores, a nice little “don’t forget the quarterback can run” warning label. He’s a 6-3, 210-pound freshman at Bowling Green who played for state runner-up Westfield and earned first-team All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference honors, which points to a competitive, battle-tested profile. The key appeal is his dual-threat blend and developmental ceiling; the catch is that he did not appear in games in 2025, so the next real read on his college fit is still coming.
