Jalen James is a steady, pass-first veteran guard for San Jose State
In his final season at San Jose State in 2017-18, Jalen James was a dependable backcourt piece who averaged 5.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists across 117 career games, with ESPN listing him at 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. He stands out more for steadiness, ball movement, and experience than flashy scoring, which makes him useful if you want a low-drama, connective guard who understands team basketball. His profile suggests a role player with solid court feel rather than a high-usage creator, so he fits best where structure, unselfishness, and consistency matter.[1][6]
