Mike Chandler’s rim-protecting profile still stands out for SIUE
In the 2015-16 season, Mike Chandler was a low-usage but highly disruptive SIUE forward who averaged 2.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and a team-best 1.55 blocks per game, including an eight-block game that tied the school record. His value was never about scoring flash; it was about paint protection, rebounding, and giving the Cougars a defensive anchor with real size at 6-foot-8. If a team needs a rugged interior presence who can erase shots and play with edge, Chandler fits the bill.
