Drew Fieger brings strikeout bite, but Evansville’s right-hander has been hit hard in 2026
In the 2026 season, Drew Fieger showed swing-and-miss stuff—he logged 15 strikeouts in 11.1 innings with Evansville[2]—but the run prevention has been rough, with an 11.12 ERA[2]. He’s a durable, experienced graduate righty who has been used in high-leverage spots, including a key strikeout in the 2026 MVC Tournament[5], and he flashed better results in 2025 with 23 appearances and an 8.92 ERA while striking out 27 over 40.2 innings[4][6]. The appeal is the arm talent and reliever versatility; the question is whether your staff can sharpen the command and damage control[2][5].
