Shannon Weems gives Samford a versatile, power-capable spark in 2026
In the 2026 season, Samford utility player Shannon Weems has flashed real impact when it matters, including a three-hit, two-homer, five-RBI game against Alabama State and multiple run-producing appearances that show her bat can change a game fast. Her value is more than the box score: she brings lineup flexibility, plays multiple spots, and has already shown the kind of competitive edge and timely contact that coaches love in a glue player. If you want a versatile, high-energy bat with upside and situational value, she’s absolutely worth a look.
