Sam Hunt brings veteran shot-making and backcourt depth to NC State
Sam Hunt is a seasoned 6-foot-2 combo guard who gives NC State a floor-spacer with real backcourt savvy; in his college career, he was known for efficient three-point shooting and an elite free-throw touch, while NC State’s staff specifically praised his ability to stretch the defense and bring experienced depth. He fits best for a team that values mature decision-making, perimeter shooting, and low-drama steadiness over flashy creation.
