Cade Carr is a productive, versatile Samford bat with pop and clutch contact
Carr has emerged as a key Samford run producer in 2026, hitting .345 with 10 home runs and 43 RBI, while also flashing versatility as a catcher/infielder and earning Southern Conference Player of the Week honors after a 2-for-3, two-double, one-RBI game. His profile points to a right-handed hitter who can impact the ball, and scouting notes from Perfect Game describe him as a primary catcher with playable receiving/transfer traits and a best pop time of 1.96 in drills. That combination makes him appealing if you want a bat-first, multi-position option with enough defensive tools to keep value on both sides of the ball.[1][3][6]
