Chase Malamala brings NFL-sized tackle traits to Southern Miss
A 6-foot-6, 297-pound redshirt sophomore from Palm Beach Gardens, Chase Malamala is an intriguing developmental offensive lineman for Southern Miss with real tackle-frame upside and a background that includes starting at left tackle in high school and earning academic recognition. In 2025, he entered the Golden Eagles’ roster after redshirting at UCF in 2024, so the big story is projection: size, length, and room to grow rather than game stats. If you want a lineman with positional flexibility, upside, and a strong work-ethic profile, he’s a worthwhile fit.
