Thomas Meyer is a rising Iowa tight end with pro-style upside and a coachable edge
Meyer enters the 2026 season as a second-year Hawkeye who already has coaches raving about his maturity, football IQ, and strong point-of-attack play. In 2025, he appeared in 4 games and redshirted, so his on-field résumé is still light, but Iowa staff have described him as unusually advanced for a freshman and noted that he “does whatever you tell him” and does it hard. He was a four-star recruit and a top-15 tight end in the 2025 class, making him a strong fit for a program that values blocking, toughness, and patience with upside.
