Big-bodied righty with a no-hitter pedigree and late-inning swing value
Brown’s 2025 breakout came in loud: he threw a nine-inning no-hitter against Valparaiso, earned national pitcher-of-the-week honors, and finished that season with 58.2 innings, 48 strikeouts, and 23 walks. In 2026, he’s been used more as a flexible weapon, including long relief and late-game work, with one report noting eight shutout innings of relief and another showing a seven-inning scoreless start with nine strikeouts. The 6-foot-4 right-hander brings starter’s size, swing-and-miss upside, and matchup versatility—exactly the kind of arm that can tilt a weekend series.
