Jacob Loeffler gives Alabama State a big, live arm with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, the 6-foot-4 right-hander has been a useful bullpen piece for Alabama State, and his profile is built on strike-throwing, size, and the ability to miss bats rather than pure flash. Earlier career notes highlight a strong prep resume, including a 1.17 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 48 innings as a senior, and Alabama State’s own roster lists him as a sophomore RHP at 6'4", 210 lbs. He’s the kind of arm a staff likes: sturdy frame, competitive enough to enter meaningful spots, and still trending upward.
