Freshman RHP with 92 mph Fastball and 20 SO in 2026
Ethan Zufall, a 6'1", 204-lb freshman right-handed pitcher for BYU, stands out with a max fastball velocity of 92 mph and 20 strikeouts in his 2026 debut season despite a 6.53 ERA. His differentiators include elite intensity (13 Ks in 5 innings during JV play), a clean injury history, and a competitive personality that thrives under pressure. While his ERA suggests room for refinement, his raw stuff and strikeout ability make him a high-upside fit for teams seeking a power arm with developmental potential. You should care because he combines prep-proven velocity with college-level strikeout dominance, signaling a future star if his consistency improves.
