Tyshun Willis brings SEC-ready frame, hybrid violence, and real two-way edge
Tyshun Willis enters Mississippi State as a redshirt freshman linebacker with a big, versatile frame (6-foot-2, 250 pounds) and a reputation for explosive first-step burst, physicality, and production against the run. In his 2024 high school season at Velma Jackson, he piled up 60 tackles, 40 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and 708 rushing yards with eight touchdowns, underscoring rare playmaking juice on both sides of the ball. The key question is polish, not toughness: he looks like a downhill disruptor who can fit an aggressive defense if his instincts and coverage consistency keep catching up.
