James Lordi gives LIU a sturdy lefty look on the mound
James Lordi is a redshirt junior left-handed pitcher for LIU in the 2026 season, and the Sharks trusted him in a season-opening start against San Diego State as well as in their NCAA regional run. He’s a developing arm with starter-level upside and the kind of left-handed look that can matter in matchup-heavy baseball. The main caution flag: recent 2026 results show some volatility, including a rough outing against Georgia, so he profiles more as a useful competitive piece than a polished ace right now.
