Lynden Bruegman brings power-lefty upside to Nebraska’s 2026 staff
Bruegman is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound left-hander whose calling card is missing bats: in 2025 at Missouri Western, he posted a 3-5 record with a 4.26 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 50.2 innings, and his fastball-slider mix has been described as power stuff rather than finesse. The fit is easy to see for Nebraska, but the risk is command—he also issued 44 walks in 2025 and was hit hard in his Husker debut on Feb. 28, 2026, so he profiles as a high-variance arm with real swing-and-miss juice.
