Hope McDonald brings gap power, smart contact, and high-IQ depth to Coastal Carolina’s outfield
McDonald is a useful all-around outfield piece for Coastal Carolina because she pairs steady offensive production with strong leadership and academic discipline. In 2024, she played in 19 games with six starts, posting seven hits, five runs, four RBIs, and a .250 batting average, while earlier bio notes show she was a productive high school hitter and a positive clubhouse presence. Her differentiators are consistency, versatility in the outfield, and a reputation for bringing energy and maturity—not just numbers—to a roster.
