A Big, Right-Handed Starter with Power Stuff and Volatility
Codron is a 6'5", 211-pound right-hander whose appeal is clear: he misses bats, has worked in big innings for Portland, and brings starter-size physicality that pro evaluators notice. His 2024 season was solid at 4.63 ERA over 35.0 innings, but his 2025 results were more uneven (6.67 ERA in 29.2 innings), suggesting the fit is best for a team that can sharpen command and tighten consistency. He has shown enough strikeout ability and durability to matter, but his walk rate and run prevention remain the key swing factors.
