Mossi Staples is Coppin State’s steady two-way floor general
Mossi Staples brings proven production and veteran poise to Coppin State’s backcourt: in the 2022-23 season she averaged 13.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists, earned All-MEAC Second Team honors, and earlier ranked among the nation’s leaders in steals per game with a 2.6 average. She’s a compact, high-motor guard who can pressure the ball, create offense, and live at the free-throw line. The fit question is easy: if a team wants toughness, leadership and a guard who competes every possession, Staples checks a lot of boxes.
