JaMari Whitehead is a high-motor depth piece with special-teams value and upside at Georgia Southern
Whitehead enters the 2026 season as a 4th-year Georgia Southern linebacker/outside linebacker at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, and his game is built more on effort, physicality, and versatility than box-score flash. In 2025-26, he played in two games and logged eight special-teams snaps; in 2024-25, he appeared in 12 games and handled 143 total plays, mostly on special teams, while recording one tackle. He was a former 4-star recruit with strong regional pedigree, and his fit is the classic “trust him on the field anywhere” type: dependable, tough, and the kind of glue guy coaches usually love.
