August Hubbard gives Buena Vista a steady veteran spark from the guard spot
August Hubbard, a 6-3 fifth-year guard for Buena Vista, brings veteran poise, coachability, and shot-making touch to the Beavers’ backcourt. In Buena Vista’s Jan. 10, 2026 game, he delivered a career-high 10 points off the bench and hit 2-of-2 from deep, showing he can provide instant offense without forcing the issue. His profile points to a strong team-first fit: dependable, experienced, and willing to do the little things, with enough perimeter scoring to punish defenses that sag off him.
