Michael Fliss is emerging as Toledo’s power-armed, workhorse RHP
In the 2026 season, Michael Fliss turned into a real difference-maker for Toledo, flashing swing-and-miss stuff with multiple double-digit strikeout outings, including 10 Ks in 5.0 innings against Miami and another 10-strikeout start in 7.0 innings at Ohio. The 6-foot-6 redshirt freshman’s calling card is size, mound presence, and the ability to miss bats deep into games; he also finished the 2026 regular season strong, going 4-0 over his final five starts with a 3.33 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 27.0 innings. He was named to the 2026 MAC All-Tournament Team, which is a nice little neon sign that the Rockets trust him when the lights get bright.
