Mason Pennington is SE Missouri State’s reliable, high-upside workhorse on the mound
In the 2026 season, Pennington has emerged as Southeast Missouri State’s most trusted starter, posting a 7-3 record and delivering ace-level flashes like 11 strikeouts in 6.0 innings against Milwaukee and seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings in a win over Illinois State. He’s a big-bodied righty at 6'3”, 215 with starter traits—innings, strike-throwing, and the ability to miss bats—but he’s also shown flexibility, even picking up his first career save in April. If a staff wants a durable, competitive RHP with momentum and swing-and-miss upside, he’s a very solid fit.
