Big-bodied lefty with sneaky upside for Akron’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Nathan Currah logged 13 appearances for Akron, going 1-0 with a 9.77 ERA over 15.2 innings, but he also flashed useful swing-and-miss moments and multiple scoreless outings, including a 1.2-inning shutout relief appearance against Mercyhurst. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound LHP brings a power frame, a left-handed look, and enough strike-throwing flashes to interest teams that value bullpen depth; he also earned All-MAC Academic Team honors, which hints at a dependable makeup. The wrinkle: his results were uneven, so he looks more like a developmental fit than an immediate plug-and-play arm.
