Jaxon Appelman brings strikeout upside and two-way athleticism, but Coastal Carolina production has been uneven
Appelman is a **6'2", 205-pound right-hander** whose best selling point is his **poise, mound presence, and multi-sport athletic background**, with scouting notes describing a focused, composed arm and Prep Baseball tracking him as a pitcher with usable breaking-ball spin and athletic tools. He showed promise at Coastal Carolina by limiting opponents to a **.224 batting average** and ranking **fourth on the team in strikeouts**, but his 2026 line was inconsistent (**6.39 ERA, 0-3, 39 strikeouts**), so he looks more like a development arm with upside than an instant-impact ace.
