Pops Battle is Lindenwood’s high-upside dual-threat QB with a proven big-play pedigree
Pops Battle enters the 2026 season as a former East St. Louis star whose recruiting profile was built on a record-breaking high school résumé and who is now listed as Lindenwood’s quarterback in 2026. He has only limited college game action so far—CBS Sports listed him with 4 games played, 3 pass attempts, 1 completion, 9 passing yards, and 1 interception in the 2025 season—so the intrigue is projection, not production. What makes him interesting: pedigree, arm talent, and a history of leading winning offenses. If you want a developmental QB with upside, he’s worth a look; if you need a proven college passer right now, the sample is still tiny.
