Sophia Romero is giving Boise State a spark on the basepaths and at the plate
In the 2026 season, Boise State outfielder Sophia Romero has been an efficient contact-and-speed piece, hitting .336 with a .451 on-base percentage and 15 runs scored, while also showing lineup flexibility in limited bench-to-starter impact. Her profile stands out because she pairs a left-handed bat with aggressive, high-contact production and a strong high-school track record that included Extra Innings Softball Top 100 recognition. She also carries academic upside, earning CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2026 — the kind of player who fits programs wanting savvy, reliable, multi-dimensional depth.
