Kaine McColley brings size and spacing upside to UAPB’s backcourt
McColley is a 6-6 guard with guard skills, which gives UAPB a matchup wrinkle in the backcourt and suggests upside as a long, flexible perimeter piece. His earlier college track record showed efficient enough shooting touch for a role player—he shot 39.1% from the field and 35.0% from three in his 2020-21 season at NSU—and his recent summer-league line indicates he is still active and producing in live action, including 4.4 points per game in five games. He looks most intriguing as a versatile, low-usage guard who can fit around creators rather than needing the ball.
