Uli Fernsler brings high-end lefty upside and strike-throwing polish to TCU
Fernsler entered TCU as a nationally regarded freshman left-hander, earning Preseason Freshman of the Year watch-list buzz after being a first-team Baseball America high school All-American and Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year in 2025. In his 2026 freshman season, he flashed real upside but also showed the growing pains you’d expect: he posted a 6.43 ERA across 3 appearances and had a 1-0 record, including a collegiate debut win over New Haven. The selling points are clear—6-foot-4 size, deceptive arm action, advanced strike-throwing, and a pitcher's frame that scouts love.
