Ava Falcone brings speed, contact, and a high-IQ spark to NIU
Falcone enters the 2026 season after a decorated high school career built on consistent contact, speed, and run production, including three straight seasons hitting at least .417 and 32 career stolen bases.[1][2] She’s already shown she can contribute in a limited role at NIU, appearing in 19 games in 2026 with a .250 average, a .368 on-base rate, and timely production in her debut stretch.[3] The appeal is clear: she profiles as a versatile outfield bat who can pressure defenses, take the extra base, and fit a fast, energetic team identity.[1][2]
