Josiah Allen brings reliable tackling and playmaking to UC Davis secondary
Josiah Allen is a physical, production-backed defensive back whose game shows up in the box score and in run support: in 2024 at UTEP, he totaled 61 tackles, 1 interception, 2 sacks, and 5 pass breakups, then arrived at UC Davis with a reputation for consistent, high-effort tackling and special-teams value. His differentiators are his involvement near the line of scrimmage, versatility, and proven ability to finish plays, which makes him a good fit for a defense that wants a DB who can help against both the pass and run.
