Caden Parks brings compact catcher's value and upside to Delaware State
Caden Parks is a freshman catcher for Delaware State in the 2026 season, listed at 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, with a profile built on a strong on-base track record and solid defensive reliability from West Cabarrus High School, where he posted a .426 on-base percentage, .432 slugging percentage, and .956 fielding percentage; his senior year was his best, hitting .323 with 21 hits and 15 RBIs in 20 games. He looks like a high-energy, contact-oriented backstop who can help a roster with toughness and steady defense, though his smaller frame suggests his fit is strongest for teams valuing grit, bat-to-ball skill, and catch-and-throw instincts over pure power.
