Curtis Jones Jr. brings rare two-way juice to WVU’s defense
Curtis Jones Jr. is a 6-foot-4, 226-pound sophomore defensive weapon who flashed in the 2025 season with 22 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 2 passes defended for West Virginia, while also showing short-yardage value at running back during injury chaos. His best differentiators are versatility, physicality, and straight-line burst; he’s the kind of player who can fit as an edge/bandit defender and still create mismatches. The big question for a team: can you maximize his hybrid skill set without over-simplifying the aggression that makes him fun to watch?
