MJ Seo brings a power arm and fresh-start upside to CSUN's bullpen
In the 2026 season, MJ Seo is a redshirt sophomore right-hander at Cal State Northridge who has already shown swing-and-miss potential, striking out two in his Matador debut while allowing a run in one ninth-inning appearance. He arrives with a strong pedigree and multiple high-level stops—LSU and Wichita State—and was once ranked No. 63 nationally by Baseball America out of Hebron HS. The fit question is simple: if you want a live arm with size, experience, and late-inning intrigue, Seo is worth the look; if you need a polished, proven college ace right now, he’s still more projection than finished product.
