Roman Mothershed is Troy’s big-bodied vertical target with starter upside
In the 2025 season, Roman Mothershed started the first 11 games for Troy and caught 25 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown, with a season-best eight catches for 58 yards against Memphis. At 6-foot-4 and 208 pounds, he brings clear red-zone and contested-catch appeal, plus enough burst to create chunk plays—six of his catches went for 15-plus yards and three went for 25-plus. He looks like a useful fit for a team that wants a physical outside receiver who can grow into a larger role.
