Briggs Cherry brings pro-style size and upside to Louisville’s QB room
Briggs Cherry is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound true freshman QB for Louisville in the 2026 season who arrives with a reputation for a big arm, clean pocket presence, and smooth progress in fall camp. He was a highly regarded 2026 recruit, with 247Sports listing him as a four-star and outlets noting he led Baylor School to a championship, threw for just under 3,000 yards and 32 touchdowns, and looked comfortable in Louisville’s system early. He’s the kind of developmental quarterback who fits a coach-friendly mold: tall, sturdy, and built for downfield throws.
