Eastern Illinois' Reliable Late-Inning Righty
In the 2026 season, Nate Marshall has emerged as a trusted bullpen piece for Eastern Illinois, earning a spot on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List after posting a 3.94 ERA, 20 strikeouts, and a .233 opponent batting average[6]. What makes him interesting is the combination of modest but effective run prevention, strike-throwing ability, and durability as a right-handed reliever; he also brings academic consistency, which can matter to staffs looking for dependable, low-drama contributors[6].
