Callie Howard brings freshman poise, big-game durability, and staff-steadying command for UC San Diego
In the 2026 season, Callie Howard emerged as a workhorse right-hander for UC San Diego, posting a 3.88 ERA with an 8-9 record across 108.1 innings and earning All-Big West All-Freshman Team honors[1][2]. Her calling card is competitiveness: she delivered a complete-game shutout against Cal Poly and logged a career-long 8.1 innings in Big West Championship play, showing she can handle pressure and volume[3][4]. If you want a pitcher with grit, strike-throwing ability, and room to keep climbing, Howard’s a very real stock-up candidate[1][5].
