Wilfredo Morales brings strike-throwing relief value and an academic edge to UMES
Morales looks like a useful left-handed bullpen piece for Maryland Eastern Shore: in 2025, he logged 29.2 innings over 15 appearances, struck out 26, earned a save, and showed the ability to work multiple innings in relief, including a 4-inning scoreless save against Towson. He was also a 7th-ranked left-handed pitcher in Puerto Rico in the class of 2023 by Perfect Game and has international experience with Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic tournament teams. The profile suggests a competitive, versatile arm with upside rather than a finished product.
