Local lineman with big-frame upside and a polished prep résumé
Owen Lee enters the 2026 season as a 6-4, 295-pound sophomore offensive lineman for Southern Illinois, and his value is in the classic trench profile: size, strength, and steady development rather than box-score noise. In high school at Carbondale, he earned the highest lineman grade in school history, was a first-team All-State pick, and set program records in squat, bench, deadlift, and clean, which hints at real power and work ethic. If a staff wants a sturdy, homegrown lineman with physical upside and room to grow, he’s a sensible fit.
