Jaron Bleeker is Iowa’s swing-man spark plug on the mound
In the 2026 season, Bleeker showed he can steady Iowa in multiple roles: he earned wins, logged a career-high 4.2 innings in relief against Florida Atlantic, and later handled 5.0 innings with one run allowed versus Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament. The right-hander is a 6-foot-3, 216-pound junior from Bishop Heelan who was rated Iowa’s No. 3 RHP and brings strike-throwing toughness, not just radar-gun flash. His value is flexibility, poise, and the ability to lengthen games when Iowa needs him most.
