Will Dixon is emerging as Rhode Island’s big-bodied TE with real red-zone upside
In the 2026 season, Will Dixon has already logged 3 catches for 24 yards through Rhode Island’s early games, and he opened the year with a 6-yard grab at Merrimack[14]. At 6-foot-5 and about 231 pounds, he brings a classic tight end frame with special-teams value, and URI’s staff said he spent much of camp working with the first unit at tight end[1][11]. He’s a former West Virginia transfer who played in 10 games in 2025 and scored his first career TD at UAlbany, so he looks like a developing fit for teams wanting a physical, assignment-solid TE with untapped ceiling[2][11].
