Juan Muñoz brings veteran shooting and steady floor general play to Hawaii
In the 2023-24 season, Juan Muñoz was a reliable two-way guard for Hawaii, averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across his college career while shooting 39.1% from three and 81.3% at the line.[15] He stood out as a sharp-shooting, high-IQ backcourt piece who could stretch defenses and hit timely shots, including a 20-point, 5-for-9 three-point game against Cal Poly in February 2024.[14][15] A bigger differentiator: he’s also part of the program’s staff now, serving in player development after a playing career that included overcoming multiple season-ending injuries, which says a lot about his toughness and basketball maturity.[1][9]
