UIC’s late-inning weapon: Zack Millsap brings saves, strike-throwing, and bullpen grit
In the 2026 season, Zack Millsap has been UIC’s high-leverage right-hander, posting a 3.58 ERA with 23 strikeouts, only 8 walks, and a team-leading 5 saves across 27.2 innings, while also earning MVC Pitcher of the Week honors after a three-inning save. He’s a fit if you want a composed bullpen arm who can handle pressure, miss enough bats, and attack the zone; the big story is durability and bounce-back, after a UCL strain earlier in his college career, and he’s proven he can close games without getting rattled.
