Austin Peay’s steady lefty with swing-and-miss upside
Chance Cox is a veteran left-handed arm for Austin Peay who brings real innings-eating value and a starter’s mentality; in the 2025 season he logged 42.1 innings with 29 strikeouts, and in 2026 he opened as the Governors’ midweek workhorse, including a 7.1-inning outing with a career-high five strikeouts in a comeback win over Tennessee Tech[15][2]. He’s not a pure overpowering flamethrower, but the appeal is polish, durability, and the ability to handle tough assignments against quality lineups[2][7].
