Alex Lyon is Charleston’s bullpen ace with elite command and late-game trust
In the 2026 season, redshirt senior RHP Alex Lyon has been a high-leverage weapon for College of Charleston, entering the year as an NCBWA Preseason All-America Third Team selection and a Stopper of the Year watch-list arm. He already owns 78 career relief appearances and a superb 1.46 walks allowed per nine innings, which screams strike-throwing polish; in the 2026 season, he also delivered 4.2 scoreless innings in the opener and was listed at 2-1 with a 3.93 ERA in bullpen work. Lyon looks like a fit for teams that value poise, durability, and a proven late-inning competitor.
