Niko Riera brings a pro-style frame and strikeout upside to Loyola Marymount
Riera is a 6-foot-4 right-hander with a pitcher’s build, solid arm action upside, and enough amateur pedigree to suggest he can miss bats when his command is on. He previously logged 22 strikeouts in 15 summer innings with a save and finished with five straight scoreless outings, while Perfect Game listed him as a ranked California RHP prospect. His profile fits a staff looking for size, projection, and relief value more than a polished, finished product.
