OJ Gonzalez brings live-arm upside and winning pedigree to ACU’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, OJ Gonzalez has been a usable right-handed arm for Abilene Christian, and his track record suggests a pitcher who competes with confidence rather than just raw stuff: he was the District 26-6A Pitcher of the Year in high school and showed a fastball sitting 88-91 mph with a slider and curveball. ACU’s roster page lists him as a redshirt sophomore, and his 2024 college line showed 7 strikeouts in 5 innings with a 5.40 ERA, while 2025 D1Baseball data put him at 4.72 ERA over 13.1 innings. He looks like a fit if a staff wants toughness, strikes, and a reliever with room to keep climbing.
