Justin Hurd brings pop, versatility, and grinder energy to UAlbany’s infield
Justin Hurd is a redshirt junior infielder for UAlbany who has shown sneaky extra-base pop and lineup flexibility, with a 2025 stat line that included a .294 average, .368 OBP, and .471 slugging in limited at-bats, plus a career arc that already features multiple home runs and run-producing games. He’s not a loud-tool headline machine, but he’s a useful baseball player: adaptable on the dirt, capable of giving quality at-bats, and experienced enough to fit a team that values depth and contact with a little thunder. In 2026, he remains part of the Great Danes’ returning core and has already shown he can chip in offensively when called upon.
